A guided journey into deep effortless rest for body and mind
Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra, often called Yogic Sleep, is a deeply restorative practice of guided relaxation. Lying comfortably on the floor, you are taken on an inner journey through body awareness, breath, and vivid visualisations. A session can last anywhere from a few minutes to an hour, and the steady guidance helps the mind stay focused and receptive.
This makes Yoga Nidra especially beneficial for people who tend to overthink, feel anxious, or struggle to relax on their own. By following the voice and moving attention through different sensations and images, the mind remains gently anchored and soothed.
One of the strengths of Yoga Nidra is that it requires almost no physical effort. It is accessible to nearly everyone, including individuals with low energy or chronic illness who may not be able to practise asanas or seated meditation.
Its effectiveness lies in the way the visualisations stimulate different regions of the brain in a systematic and effortless way. The result is a state of deep rest comparable to sleep, but without losing awareness.
